So refreshing
PROV 25:13
Like the cold of snow in time of harvest
is a faithful messenger to those who send him. For he refreshes the soul of his masters.
Anyone can stand their ground when things are going good, when emotion is high, things are growing and there is plenty of cash.
On the mountain top your vision is clearer, and you can see much further. Also, your voice will carry for a greater distance and be heard by more people. On the mountaintop what you say will even echo and reproduce itself.
Listen to this; "Great things happen on mountains, but great people are built in valleys."
But true faithfulness is not seen when you recieve the message; true faithfulness- the refreshing kind- is seen when you deliver the message.
Maybe you answered the call of God at a conference or an altar-call ,when excitement was at a peak and your faith was stirred by the preaching of the word ,and that's great. But recieving the message is only half the job.
True faithfulness is seen when the music has stopped playing and the service is over and you're looking at the price tag and counting the cost; and you're still willing to pay and you're still willing to go. Not because it feels good, but because it's right and you were called to deliver a divine message.
A small Albanian nun , by the name of Mother Theresa, worked for many years in the slums of Calcutta, India, amongst the lepers, the poor and the dispossessed. One day she was visited by a U.S Senator. The powerful man asked her;
" How can you bear the load without being crushed by it?"
She answered him, " My dear Senator. I'm not called to be successful, but faithful."
Quite often, our ideas of how things should be are not the same as God's. It's not just about how we judge our own success, but about whether or not we are doing what we were told to do. You can have a huge ministry or a successful career, but if you're not delivering the right message, what's it worth?
Hopefully when we finally come face to face with the One who gave us His message, He will say, "Well done, good and faithful servant..." ( MATT 25:21)
So be faithful today, even if it feels hard. You just don't know how refreshing that is.

Thank you Pastor Paul, it's a great mistake to measure our "success" in our ministries because in our own eyes we could only fail and become disheartened by falling so far short of the Glory of God.
Mercifully, God assembles all our offerings in an optimal combination with that of others and even redeems the mistakes we make in good faith. We're talking God here, not Alan Sugar!

It is Tuesday 03:00 am in the morning, I woke up half an hour a go, Yesterday, I was being congratulated on a performance I was involved in on the Oil Rig I work on. On Sunday there was a performance given in our cinema, (Perfect for a Church) . All the other songs were worldly and contained swear words etc. . I volunteered to sing "Amazing Grace" which, I did.... by the end there were jeers and whooping the band abandoned in mistake, I tried to finish the song. I rose as gracefully as I could and walked away from the stage. To my surprise they were asking for an encore..... I walked back, the organiser was trying to say there is not enough time, I said its ok "I will not be long" I then started to sing "Jesus Lover of My Soul" the whole place lit up everyone was on their feet. The look on the organisers face... I finished the song and walked away again. Everyone then settled down and they listened to the next song.
I walked away feeling I had let God down, I had not done an altar call, I was not as good as I thought I was. If you remember the next day I was being encouraged, comments were
"you stole the show", " you must have b**** of steel" , "The Chosen one".
I was reading Mark 4 about the seeds being sown among the thorns, well I pray that God pours out the weed killer, puts in some manure and we see a harvest. The number of people there were close to 150.
The whole show was for an hour and we raised £1,137.00 for Charity.
Today is just another day.
For those reading please pray that the men who were there are saved and their families, that they are good fruit, which brings forth more. I also pray for their provision, as we are all about to be laid off that we get new contracts in the new year.
I pray that on Christmas Day they have time to think about the Birth, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, that they recieve revelation, that their eyes are opened to the Love of GOD.
